Key takeaways

  • A beginner week with a 9-hour group course, 7 nights with breakfast (two sharing) and a return transfer comes to about €560 per person, before flights.
  • Our sample weeks start at about €490 per person (two sharing) and are priced from the same partner prices.
  • You pay each partner directly on the spot — nothing is charged online.
  • Add flights, the visa (US$25 online or US$30 on arrival) and meals outside the hotel.

Kite trips have a reputation for being expensive. In Hurghada they do not have to be: the lessons are fairly priced, rooms near the spot are affordable, and the airport is close. Here is what each part of a week costs with our partners, so you can build your own budget.

Lessons

  • Kite Control, 3 h: €120 group / €150 private.
  • Board Start, 6 h: €210 group / €275 private.
  • Advanced course, 9 h: €290 group / €380 private.
  • Advanced course, 12 h: €390 group / €470 private.
  • Wing foil: €75 for a 1-hour lesson, €220 for 3 hours.

Courses include all equipment — kite, board, harness, wetsuit, vest and a radio helmet.

Rental for independent riders

  • Kite gear: €75 for a day, €140 for two days, €400 for a week.
  • Wing foil gear: €100 a day.

Where to stay

Al Dora Residence is a few minutes from the kite school. Prices are per room per night, for two people:

  • Room only: €55.
  • With breakfast: €70.
  • All-inclusive: €110.

Transfers and extras

  • Airport transfer, per car up to 4 guests: €30 one way, €50 return.
  • Excursions: Hurghada city tour €25, Giftun island snorkelling with lunch €30, Dolphin House boat €30, desert quad safari with Bedouin dinner €35, Luxor full day €85.
  • Evenings: club night with entry €55, bar hop and club €65.

Example: a beginner week for two

Two friends, 7 nights at Al Dora with breakfast, each doing the 9-hour group course, with a return airport transfer:

  • Room: 7 × €70 = €490, so €245 each.
  • Course: €290 each.
  • Transfer: €50 per car, so €25 each.
  • Total: about €560 per person, before flights, visa and meals outside the hotel.
The biggest variable is not the lessons — it is how many evenings you spend out.

What is not included

  • Flights to Hurghada (HRG) — prices depend a lot on dates and where you fly from.
  • The visa: US$25 as an e-visa bought online in advance, or US$30 on arrival (prices checked October 2026).
  • Lunches, dinners and drinks outside the hotel plan.
  • Travel insurance that covers kitesurfing.
  • Tips — common in Egypt and appreciated.
